Accepting cookies is not a requirement for visiting our website.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files saved to your data storage device which store certain settings and data for exchange with our system through your browser. There are generally 2 different types of cookies, so-called session cookies, which are deleted upon closing the browser, and temporary/permanent cookies, which are saved to your data storage device for an extended period or indefinitely. This storage helps us adjust our website and our offers to your needs and facilitate your use of the website, for example by saving certain entries so you do not need to repeat them.
Which cookies are used?
Which data is stored in cookies?
The cookies used do not contain personal information. The cookies we use therefore cannot be matched to a specific person, i.e. you. When the cookie is activated it is assigned an ID number. Your personal information can never be traced and will not be matched with this ID number. Your name, your IP address or similar information which would allow the cookie to be matched with you is never included. The cookie technology merely provides us with pseudonymised information, e.g. the pages of our shop visited, products viewed, etc.
What is Onsite Targeting?
Our website collects data based on a cookie technology to optimise our advertising and the entire online service. This data will not be used to identify you but merely enable us to carry out pseudonymised analysis of website use. Your data will never be matched with your personal information saved on our system. This technology allows us to present you with advertising and/or special offers and services based on the information obtained through clickstream analysis (e.g. advertising based on you exclusively viewing trainers in recent days). Our objective is to make our online services as appealing to you as possible and to display advertisements which correspond to your interests.
Are there any third-party cookies?
KeySecurity AG utilises some advertising partners, which help make our internet service and the website more relevant. When visiting the website, cookies from partner companies will therefore also be saved to your hard drive. These are temporary/permanent cookies, which are automatically deleted after the specified period. These temporary or even permanent cookies (life 14 days to 10 years) are saved to your hard drive and automatically deleted after the specified period. The cookies from our partners also do not contain personal information. They merely collect pseudonymised data under a user ID. These include, for example, data on which products you viewed, if you made a purchase, which products you searched for, etc. Some of our advertising partners also collect information outside of our website on which sites you have viewed or which products you were interested in, for example, to tailor advertising to your interests as well as possible. This pseudonymised data is never matched with your personal information. They merely serve the purpose of allowing our advertising partners to display advertisements which you may in fact be interested in.
Our website uses so-called retargeting technologies. We use these technologies to make our online services more relevant. This technology enables us to display advertisements on our partners' websites to online users who have previously shown interest in our shop and our products. We believe internet users are typically more interested in seeing personalised advertisements tailored to their interests than advertisements without any personal relevance. These advertisements on our partners' websites are based on a cookie technology and analysing past user behaviours. This form of advertising is entirely pseudonymised. No personal information is stored and use profiles will not be matched with your personal information.
I agree the use of so-called cookies to collect, store and use usage data related to me. I further agree to my data being stored in cookies beyond the end of the browser session and possibly being accessed on future visits to the website. I may revoke this consent at any time for the future by blocking cookies in my browser configuration.
How can I prevent cookies from being saved?
You can configure your browser to only accept cookies if you agree. If you only wish to accept cookies from KeySecurity, not our service providers and partners, select "Block third-party cookies" in your browser settings.
The Help function in the menu bar of your internet browser will typically show you how to reject new cookies and disable those previously received. For detailed information on how to change your browser settings, please visit the following link
When using a shared computer configured to accept cookies and Flash cookies we recommend always logging off when you are finished.
6.2 Web Analysis
We use so-called tracking technologies to continue to improve and optimise our services. We use Universal Analytics for this purpose.
Universal Analytics is a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Universal Analytics uses "cookies", i.e. text files, which are saved to your computer and allow Google to analyse your use of our services. The information about your visit to our website collected via the cookie (including your IP address) is typically transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where they are saved. Please note, the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" was added to Universal Analytics on our website to ensure IP addresses remain anonymous (so-called IP masking). Due to this action the IP address collected by Google will be shortened, ensuring it is anonymous and does not allow identification. With IP anonymisation enabled on our website, Google will first shorten your IP address within the member states of the European Union or other contracting states of the Treaty on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. Google further complies with the privacy principles of the "US Safe Harbor" agreement and is certified for the "Safe Harbor" programme of the US Department of Commerce. Google will use the information specified to analyse your use of our website, generate reports on website activity for us and to provide us with additional services related to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in line with Google Analytics will not be matched with other Google data. Google will only transmit this data to third parties as required by law or in line with processing purchase order data. Google will never match your data with other data collected by Google.
By using this website you agree to the data collected about you being processed by Google and to the type of data processing and the purpose specified above.
You can prevent cookies from being stored by configuring your browser software accordingly; however, please note that doing so may prevent you from being able to make full use of all the functions of our website. You can further prevent data related to your use of this website generated by the cookie (including your IP address) from being transmitted to Google and this data being processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link.
For more information about Google Analytics and data privacy visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.
6.3 Social Plugins
Our website uses social plugins ("plugins”) for various social networks. These plugins can be used to share content or recommend products, for example. The plugins are disabled by default on Zalando.de and therefore do not transmit data. Click the "Activate Social Media" button to activate all plugins (so-called 2-click concept).
With these plugins activated, your browser will connect directly to the servers of the respective social network when you open one of the pages of our website. The social network transmits the contents of the plugin directly to your browser, which then embeds it in the website. The plugins can of course be disabled again with just a click.
By embedding the plugin, you inform the social network you have opened the respective page on our website. If you are logged into the social network, it can match this visit with your account. When interacting with a plugin, for example by clicking the Facebook "Like" button or adding a comment, your browser transmits the respective information directly to the social network, where it is then stored.
For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of data by social networks as well as your related rights and settings to protect your privacy, please refer to the privacy notices for the respective networks and websites. You will find the links below.
If you do not wish for social networks to collect data about you through our website, you will first need to log out of these networks before visiting our website.
Even if you are not logged into social networks, websites with active social plugins can still send data to the networks. An active plugin will add a cookie with an identifier every time the website is visited. Since your browser automatically includes this cookie every time it connects to a network server, the network could on principle create a profile of which websites the user with this identifier visited. This identifier could later - for example when logging into a social network - also be matched with an individual again.
We use the following plugins on our website:
Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
If you do not wish for social networks to collect information about you via active plugins you can either simply click to disable the social plugins on our website or select "Block third-party cookies" in your browser settings. The browser will then no longer send cookies to the server if third party contents are embedded. However, in addition to the plugins, this setting may also prevent other site-spanning functions.
We use plugins for the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook").
The link to the Facebook privacy notice is: Facebook data policy. https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
We use plugins for the social network Twitter, operated by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA ("Twitter").
We use plugins for the social network Pinterest, operated by Pinterest Inc., 635 High Street, Palo Alto, CA, USA ("Pinterest").
